Marie Curie won the Nobel Prize twice, in two different fields of science (first in Physics and then Chemistry),

The 155th birth anniversary of Marie Curie, a name synonymous with one of the earliest example of women’s successes in STEM was marked on November 7.

Curie decided to do her thesis on radiation, recently discovered in uranium by Henri Becquerel. Another scientist she admired was Pierre Curie, whose lab she worked in.
